Retired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page and President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Neel Kashkari talked to the Upper School community about their proposed state constitutional amendment, which would enshrine education as a civil right.

When Finn-Olaf Jones ʼ82 reached the top of the world’s tallest mountain, his sense of accomplishment was accompanied by a wave of relief. Mount Everest was the one peak the elite climber had attempted but hadn’t conquered. 

Since 2005, LearningWorks has been a member of the Breakthrough Collaborative, which includes 24 affiliate sites that annually serve 10,000 students and represents the largest pre-professional teacher training program in the country. 

Traveling to several cities to explore Indigenous rights and ecology, the group learned to adapt and persevere in the face of challenges and, most importantly, experienced the power of kindness and connection with each other and the people they met along the way.
 

Whale watching, glacier hiking, horseback riding and kilometers upon kilometers of biking—students experienced all this and more on a 20-day trip to Iceland and Amsterdam.
